Background

Breede Valley Fruit Processors is situated in the town of Worcester, which is the capital of the Breede River Valley, the main artery of South Africa’s deciduous fruit growing industry. The ideal location allows quick access to the Port of Cape Town, where products are connected to our customers located worldwide.

 

We are a  privately owned enterprise, and as such, we do not form part of any of the international conglomerates that operate in this country. We specialize in the manufacture of aseptically packed purees and puree concentrates and buy a higher quality raw material than is usually used to make puree. Since we are not a canning company we therefore do not use any canning off-cuts or the lye-peel process inthe mannufacture of our products.

 

Food safety is of utmost importance to us, and receives the highest priority. Our products are manufactured according to world industry standards such as HACCP and SGF and fully comply with the AIJN published codes of practice. As an SGF member, all our prodycts are under the VCS/IRMA rules as set out by that organisation. This successful participation and compliance with all the codes of practice allows us to display the IRMA logo for approved certified supplers.

 

We pride ourselves in making product only of the highest international standard and in order to ensure and sustain this high quality, all our fruit is purchased from carefully selected farmers.
